FRESP Testing

I should've posted this on Wednesday the 27th, but work got in the way yet again. I got a 94 on my First Responder Advanced Training yearly refresher course! It's sponsored by where I work, so that's a big help. They even paid for the Hep-B series of shots we needed plus cellphones. The class was from 8-5 and they weren't kidding. Actually (I hate that word), it was from 7:50 until 5:10 . They also gave us brand new BP (digitized) monitors for our bags. Not that they will fit inside or anything, but we have our own now. The bags they gave us last year are really nice and absolutely loaded. I'm getting way more out of all this, insofar as interest goes, than I did when I took and passed the ECA exam 3-4 years ago! I think that the mentality of large corporations has done a complete 360 when it comes to employee safety. That's a good thing!

BLOGinality!

Okay, I got this from Kami, who got it from Maria (sounds like something is going 'round!). Here's the test. Here are my test results:

You are an ENTJ!

As an ENTJ, you are Extraverted, iNtuitive, Thinking, Judging.
This makes your primary focus on Extraverted Thinking with an Introverted Intution.

This is defined as a NT personality, which is part of Carl Jung's Rational (Knowledge Seeking) type, and more specifically the Field Marshal or Executive.

Because of your take-charge tendancies, you might be likely to organize a group weblog. You get along best with people who see things the same way as you, and so some of your favorite blogs to read may be people with a Thinking part to their personality type. You are very dynamic, and may intimidate people with a less enthused spirit.

Some Folks Don't Deserve To Live!

Yesterday, I kept my sweet Grandson while my daughter and her boyfriend were at WindStar winning money! Things went beautifully until we went to leave Kohl's. The cashier mentioned that she couldn't believe that people would shop while leaving their dog in a SUV with NO windows down AND the dog was in a kennel! I asked why she didn't go to the loud speaker and ask that the owner's come to the front desk. She said it was "against the law" because it didn't involve a child! I said "Well! It's still a living thing!" I was so mad!! She said she felt like going to the vehicle and breaking out the windows, but that she would lose her job. She said that it had already been 10 minutes and no sign of the dispicable people who did it. What the Hell are people thinking?!?!? Tyler and I had only been in the store for 45 minutes and I had to open ALL my doors and start the AC before I could even think of putting him in there. IT'S DAMNED HOT IN TEXAS NOW! People AND animals DIE in this heat! I'm writing a letter to the management of Kohl's and requesting them to re-think their stupid policy! Other people were worried as well and I thought about calling 911, but figured they would do nothing as well. It's just an outrage that people like that are allowed to have pets in their care. Leave the animal home if you can't take care of it! Dammitt!

Happy 4th To All Y'all!!

I hope your holiday was wonderful! We tackled the most recent 5 tubs of tomatoes that we had readied for making tomatoe sauce on the 3rd. It ended up being 98 Cups of tomatoes! Just to give you an idea of how much we had to cook down...my huge spaghetti pot held 20 Cups, leaving room for the green & red peppers and onions. All in all, it cooked all day in three roaster pots. Then we were ready to jar it up and process it. The total came to 24 quarts of tomatoe juice and 17 quarts & 14 pints of tomatoe sauce. It turned out way better than last years. Soooooooooo tired! We went nowhere, but watched three great celebration shows on TV...just beautiful! Carole and Robert took Tyler to see the fireworks display and that sweet boy stayed up until nearly 10:30 with hardly a whine. Of course, once back home, he promptly caved in to his tiredness.
